Job Description
Title: Lead Java Developer
Location: Fairfax Va./Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead/Architect with a strong handson development background and exceptional analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and J2EE along with a proven track record in designing building and deploying scalable software products. Strong architecture & objectoriented design (OOD) skills extensive knowledge of Spring Boot/Spring Framework experience with RESTful integrations and a solid understanding of databases are essential for this role.
- Lead projects by understanding business requirements and translate them into technical solutions by being part of the entire SDLC process.
- Work with the team on received high level requirements to be broken down into stories and assigning work to the team.
- Leads architecture design development and deployment of applications as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Implement unit and integration test cases with industry standard test automation frameworks.
- Documents testing and maintenance of application corrections and improvements.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues working alongside teams based on agile methodology.
- Identify technology solutions for enhancements or new initiatives.
- Document changes necessary to support business.
- Collaborate well with other team members leadership and business partners.
The Lead Java/J2EE Developer shall have:
- Ten 10 or more years of experience in Java / J2EE building highly complex software solutions & products.
- Strong background with technologies like Springboot / Spring framework Spring security REST.
- Experience in frontend development particularly using Bootstrap.
- Excellent background in RDBMS / SQL & any standard ORM framework; Postgres experience preferred.
- A bachelors degree required in engineering computer science information sciences or related field or equivalent in experience.
- Three 3 or more years of experience Agile software development experience
- Three 3 or more years of experience with Atlassian Bitbucket (or equivalent) Jira and Confluence.
- Experience working with AWS or Azure cloud environment.
- Well versed with software security best practices.
- A professional background in a United States Federal Government environment.
