Focused on addressing the prevalent issue of mental health distress among youth particularly those systematically excluded from mental health dialogue and action we adapt programming to cater to diverse youth demographics and communities across Canada. Our approach centers on upstream prevention of mental distress and the promotion of mental wellbeing.

If you want to spend your summer working to help support Jack.orgs largest fundraising event and providing database administrative support while being part of an awesome supportive team read on!

This is a paid internship that runs from April 1 2025 August 29 2025. This role can be remote or hybrid with the opportunity to work in our head office located in downtown Toronto for those interns who can commute. We encourage applicants from across Canada to apply.


In this role you will:

  • Support the Events and Community team with planning research and administrative tasks for our capstone event Jack Ride happening in May and with ongoing DIY fundraisers.
  • Ensure a positive supporter experience and assist in any tracking or troubleshooting associated with our fundraising platform including donations tax receipts and reports
  • Help coordinate and support new volunteers in their roles
  • Communicate and coordinate with event organizers Jack Ride participants donors and staff
  • Track expenses for materials supplies deliveries and swag
  • Respond to inquiries from the public related to Jack Ride and hosting their own events
  • Research and propose giftinkind opportunities to be used for fundraising incentives and event day
  • Research and meet with other members of the team to create a proposal for community event promotion
  • Assist the team with stewardship and recognition programs as the need arises
  • Work alongside the Manager of Annual Giving to improve database hygiene and database integrity

Duties will include:

  • Reviewing constituent data exported from CRM database flagging potential duplicate records and working with our internal team to have records merged
  • Cleaning data records to ensure First and Last Names are typed in proper case and formatted correctly
  • Assigning Constituent code types to records
  • Other database administrative tasks as assigned


Were looking for someone who:

  • Is a quick learner and is responsible reliable and resourceful
  • Has outstanding problemsolving project management and organizational capabilities
  • Is a keen and enthusiastic person who is looking to make an impact
  • Has previous customer service experience and has no problem connecting warmly with people by phone and email
  • Is extremely detailoriented with an affinity for data accuracy
  • Is comfortable dealing with ambiguity in fastpaced environments
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Has a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and collaborate
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Suite particularly Excel and GSuite products
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time reviewing rows and columns of data


We would love it if you had:

  • Previous experience with fundraising activities
  • Experience in Jack.orgs programs
  • Working competency in written and spoken French
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM
  • Access to a large screen external monitor to help support data analysis
  • Knowledge of the mental health landscape for young people in Canada
