What is the job about

Peerless Pump Company a Grundfos subsidiary is seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to join its Fire Sales team.TheDistrict Sales Manager will be responsible for a defined area in Eastern USA (East of Mississippi). The District Sales Managers (DSM) role is to grow the Peerless Fire business by defining measuring analyzing improving and controlling the activities within their area of primary responsibility. The DSM reports to Global Sales DirectorFire and participates as an active member of Fire Team. This position will operate remotely. One must reside in the territory.

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employmentbased visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship is not available for applicants for US Work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H1B L1 TN O1 E3 H1B1 F1 J1 OPT CPT or any other employmentbased visa.

Your main responsibilities:

  • OEM Wholesalers National Accounts Etc. and distribution partners to participate in closing an order or to facilitate and add value to the selling process.
  • Lead the efforts to implement Peerless Pump defined programs demand shaping Standard Lead Time programs and key customer facing communications.
  • Be the brand live the brand and present the brand by building relationships throughout the entire sales channel
  • Develop knowledge of the Geography Markets Applications and Accounts including market specific drivers Key Decision Makers (KDM) competitors and economic conditions; The DSM will develop maintain and execute a territory plan using the Grundfos Territory Planning Model (GTPM) to grow the business and increase Grundfos market share
  • Assess current distribution channels develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with territory plans
  • Provide training on Peerless Pump products applications and sales processes ensuring that partners become selfsufficient and that they effectively represent the Grundfos brand to customers; The DSM will provide / facilitate training and education to all levels of the sales channel
  • Develop maintain and execute a forecast using the CRM and Peerless Express
  • Maintain data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system relative to partners accounts and activities (e.g. calls visits etc. in their APR
  • Manage and report expenses prepare a monthly reports effectively use PowerBi / SAP / Salesforce and complete tasks in accordance with specific Peerless Pump policies and procedures.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering business or technical curriculum preferred ORhave a minimum of at least 35 years experience in pump fire protection market
  • 35 years of Fire Industrial Commercial and OEM sales or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pumps pumping systems and fire systems / ecosystem.
  • Professional sales skills to the trainer or mentor level with knowledge and ability to apply instructed principles and concepts. Proven negotiation skills a must.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective product presentations at all levels of management and for all sizes of audiences for both internal and external customers.
  • Comprehensive PC skills with above average knowledge and use of Microsoft Office application programs (Word Excel and PowerPoint) as well as high aptitude for learning and applying new systems and programs.
  • Ability to manage individual expense budget and work with regional team to plan and stay within the regional expense budget.
  • Practical and systematic approach to business processes with certification in Six Sigma to the Green Belt level advantageous
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
  • Will be required to travel up to 65if necessary. Thus candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
