Electrical Engineering Lead New Product

You will be an early member of a new engineering team responsible for driving the electrical design development and integration of a new highpower electromechanical product line at Redwood. In this role you will immediately lead a small team of engineers guiding them through complex systems integration test engineering and power electronics design challenges and ensuring successful project . You will collaborate closely with mechanical firmware and systems engineering teams. As the product builds momentum you will build and lead the electrical engineering team across high power 10100kW) and lowpower electronics setting the foundation for scaling our product into high volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead and execute the electrical system design and development of a highvolume highpower energy conversion product from concept to deployment including electrical architecture requirements authoring system integration signallevel electronics design power electronics design and integration with grid infrastructure.
• Design power conversion products supervisory control modules and balance of system components working closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure costeffective highquality solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical firmware and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of the overall product
• Be a handson engineering manager accountable for project goals and timelines.
• Take a leadership role in recruiting mentoring and managing a highperformance electrical engineering team.
• Stay up to date on industry advancements and best practices ensuring that our designs are at the forefront of technology and compliant with relevant standards.
• Contribute to a collaborative fastpaced startup culture where every team member plays a crucial role in achieving company milestones.

Desired Qualifications:

• BS orMS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 7 years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus in power conversion or energy storage products ideally for mass production.
• Experience in highvoltageVDC and 480VAC) design.
• Proven track record as a senior electrical engineer with handson design prototyping and launch experience in mediumtohigh volume production 10000 units/yr or higher).
• Able to perform detailed schematic capture in Altium or related CAD software
• Able to supervise (and occasionally perform) detailed layout of highpower electronics PCBs in Altium or related CAD software.
• Experience in the development of tools infrastructure and design practices for a growing team
• Strong leadership and project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of building relationships with all levels of the organization and presenting to internal and external executives

The position is fulltime. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
