Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the VP of Claims handle all aspects of workers compensation claims including complex and litigated workers compensation claims from beginning to end. The Senior Claims Examiner should have strong technical knowledge in: claims adjusting claims workflow investigation and time management. Claim professional is expected to travel as needed (about 15 30 of the time). Spanish speaking adjuster is highly desirable.
Actively engage in and embrace the companys continued learning and innovation culture including participation in innovation groups to identify solutions for enhancement and change.
Key functions include but are not limited to:
- Adjusting all aspects of claims and loss notices including but not limited to coverage & compensability analysis reserve setting reinsurance reporting and coverage litigation.
- Attend mediations settlement conferences trials and other claimsrelated travels as needed or required.
- Assist with or conduct large loss and reinsurance reporting.
- Maintain adjusters certification in all states requiring certifications or as requested.
- Assist with marketing and development of risk management materials as needed
- Active engagement in the companys innovation culture and group
- Continued and selfdriven learning
- Must be able to travel for on short notice as needed
Qualifications
- Spanish speaking is strongly preferred
- BA or BS preferred not required
- Adjusters certification in California is required other state licensing/certification is a plus
- 8 years claimsrelated adjusting experience handling workers compensation claims in California
- Computer skills including but not limited to Word Excel and PowerPoint

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role include:
Base Salary Range: $95000 $123000
Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the scope complexity and location of the role; the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
