Founded in 1960 Berkeley Preparatory School is an independent coeducational Episcopal affiliated college preparatory school with a current enrollment of 1400 students in grades PreK through 12. Lower Division Kindergarten Teacher:
Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a fulltime Kindergarten teacher for theschool year due to expanding our program. The Kindergarten teacher will work collaboratively with a fulltime instructional assistant to plan the instructional program and teach lessons to whole and small groups that are both ageappropriate and address individual student needs. Qualified candidates will possess 35 years of experience in classroom teaching and a Bachelors degree in a related field. A Masters degree is preferred. Experience with Reading and Writing Workshop OrtonGillingham and Singapore Math is beneficial. A good sense of humor a positive outlook and an appreciation of the unique qualities of the age group are essential.
Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly grow professionally significantly contribute to the life of the school and will be eager to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
The appointment is available August 2025 and is a fulltime salary exempt position and eligible for full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience certification attainment and the national independent school and college markets.
