Job Description

Eurofins Scientific is seeking eESB Application Support Engineer to become a valued member of our successful team. He is responsible for supporting internal IT application users with eESB application uptime and reqeusts with the capability to support cloud and onpremise application services. This may require interaction with potential or current users of our organisation across the globe. This person will participate as an effective member of a passionate highly skilled collaborative team that is a backbone of IT solutions delivered    

Job description:

Responsibilities:

  • The position is for an operational (run) group. Support engineers will respond to incidents and as well as handle support requests for a variety of technologies related to eESB (Eurofins Enterprise Service Bus services over cloud architecture
  • Support engineers will also have project responsibilities (i.e. executing on the improvements and automation identified by them or others on the team) and will own small projects within their respective area.
  • As a queue owner support engineers will be responsible for the general health of the queue (resolving tickets identifying trends finding the technical cause of problems) as well as recommending and implementing process / system changes to eliminate incoming workload optimizing team process diagnosing problems to the root cause and resolving them and escalating where appropriate.
  • Participation in a team 245 weekly rotation is part of the role. More extended offshift time may be needed but these would be planned in advance and generally associated with project work where maintenance windows need to be observed.
  • The candidate will need a deep understanding and technical expertise to apply in a hands on environment.
  • While not a hard requirement given the overall direction of IT infrastructure is to transition workloads to the cloud experience with Azure AWS and cloud development is a plus.

 

     

     


    Qualifications :

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED to be considered:

     

    1. 58 years experience in Application Support
    2. 5 years of experience working with Unix/Linux.
    3. 2 years working with Middleware preferably Active MQ or MSMQ .
    4. Shell Scripting 2 years
    5. 2 years working with Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure)
    6. 2 years working with DevOps framework
    7. 2 years working with Version control tools like GIT Hub or similar.
    8. 1 year working with Java fundamentals
    9. Advanced English level
    10. ITIL framework knowledge

     

    Education:

    Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.

    Desired not required:

    1. Performance monitoring on Solarwinds. Reporting tools Service Now Graphana reporting.
