Position: DaytoDay Substitute Teacher
Employment Type: Casual
Union: New Brunswick Teachers Federation (https://nbtffenb/
Hours: As defined by Article 18 of the NBTF Collective Agreement
Salary: Compensation in accordance with the NBTF Collective Agreement
Reports to: School Principal
Location: Teachers could be assigned to one of our39 Schools within ASDE
DESCRIPTION:
DaytoDay Substitute Teachers: Substitute Teachers are an important part of our school community. With an active teaching force we are in need ofqualifiedteachers and those meeting theEssentialQualifications to fill dailyvacancies as SubstituteTeachers. We have diverse opportunities spanning our Kindergarten to Grade 12 classrooms (both English and French Language classrooms) across our school district.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants must hold a universityundergraduatedegree 120 credit hours) or be currently enrolled in a recognized multiyear B.Ed. program.Prioritywill be given to applicants with a New Brunswick Teaching certificate oreligibleto hold a New Brunswick Teaching certificate and those available to accept jobs on a daily basis.
Allapplicantsmust be eligible to work in Canada. For candidates with valid Work Permits please review the conditions on your permit.
Along with these essential qualifications we are looking for candidates who:
- Experience working with children and youth
- Committed to providing a safe welcoming inclusive classroom for all students
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication
- Punctual andprofessional
- Flexibleand adaptable as daily assignments will vary in location class composition and grade level
- Be available for daily assignments
