Job Description

MUST BE A PERMANENT CANADIAN RESIDENT

We are a well established firm that our core businessis maintenance upgrading service and expansion of customer owned substations.

Must be a PR of Canada and live within the Greater Toronto Area

WearecurrentlyseekinganElectricalSubstationHVTechnician (CET)/ForemantojoinourteamatourTorontolocation(nearTorontoPearsonIntlAirport)workinginourgrowingElectricalDepartment. We offer excellent onsite premiums and benefits. If you are an experienced 309A CET or EIT we may have an opportunity for you.

PURPOSE&SCOPE

Thesuccessfulcandidatewillberesponsiblefortakingbothaninsideand handson fieldroleinthePower Technical ServicesDepartmentcoveringallfacetsofthehighvoltageelectricalcontractingbusinesswithintheindustrialsector.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Extensivehighvoltageelectricalfieldworkincludinginfraredscanningsubstationmaintenancesubstationandtransformerprojectinstallationcommissioningtroubleshootingrationalizationandimplementationofsystemandequipmentoptimizationmeasuresownershipofworkfromplanningimplementationandreportingtojobclosure.

IFYOUREUPFORTHECHALLENGEYOUCANWORKTOWARDS

  • HighVoltageStudiesProvidetechnicalservicestoassemblecompleteandreportonelectricalsystem studies(e.g.coordinationpowerqualitygroundgridsarcflash)
  • TechnicalSupportProvideelectricaltechnicalsupportandproblemsolvingaswellasonsiteandinhousetroubleshootingandproblemsolving.
  • AutoCADProvideanduseelectrical/mechanicaldrawingsasrequiredforsubstationmaintenanceand/orelectricalconstructioninstallations.
  • ReportsReviewandcompletereportsreviewworkperformedbyothersreviewsaleschargestocoincidewithreports.
  • OilAnalysisProvidetechnicalassistanceandcommentsontransformeroilresults.
  • Complete Understandingandprovenproficiencyforquotingandjobestimation.
  • Supportandreviewtechnicalinquiriesofcustomerstomakerecommendations.
  • Provide assistancetoenableaccuratequotestocustomersfromAccountManagersforallworktobeperformedbytheElectricalDivision
  • Performallworkwithinhealthandsafetyregulationsandapplicableregulatorycodes.
  • Drive/leadstudiesprojectdesigningandtechnicalbidpreparationforprojects.
  • Conduct Infrared Thermography/Scanning of plant electrical equipment and troubleshooting.

  • Complete Knowledgeandsuperiorworkingexperiencewithelectricalpowerdistributionsystems
  • Exemplary Understandingofindustryandregulatorystandardsanddesigncriteria
  • Lead Andsupportteammembersontechnicalandjobrelatedmatters
  • Strong ComputerskillsAutoCADETAPMSOffice
  • KnowledgeofESAregulations

Non TechnicalCompetencies

  • Excellentorganizationalprioritizationcommunicationleadershipproblemsolvingandpersonalhandson toolsskills
  • Analyticaltroubleshootingskills
  • Willingness Totravelperiodically and be available for off peak outages
  • CET certification and 309A
  • Trades Certificate(s)withrelatedexperience
  • Minimum Level 1 Infrared Thermography Certification (a benefit)

EXPERIENCE

Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveproventechnicalskillcategoriesfocusingonsubstationandtransformerinstallationcommissioningandserviceandmaintenance.Minimum35yearsworkexperience.
