Job Description
MUST BE A PERMANENT CANADIAN RESIDENT
We are a well established firm that our core businessis maintenance upgrading service and expansion of customer owned substations.
Must be a PR of Canada and live within the Greater Toronto Area
WearecurrentlyseekinganElectricalSubstationHVTechnician (CET)/ForemantojoinourteamatourTorontolocation(nearTorontoPearsonIntlAirport)workinginourgrowingElectricalDepartment. PURPOSE&SCOPE
Thesuccessfulcandidatewillberesponsiblefortakingbothaninsideand handson fieldroleinthePower Technical ServicesDepartmentcoveringallfacetsofthehighvoltageelectricalcontractingbusinesswithintheindustrialsector.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Extensivehighvoltageelectricalfieldworkincludinginfraredscanningsubstationmaintenancesubstationandtransformerprojectinstallationcommissioningtroubleshootingrationalizationandimplementationofsystemandequipmentoptimizationmeasuresownershipofworkfromplanningimplementationandreportingtojobclosure.
IFYOUREUPFORTHECHALLENGEYOUCANWORKTOWARDS
- HighVoltageStudiesProvidetechnicalservicestoassemblecompleteandreportonelectricalsystem studies(e.g.coordinationpowerqualitygroundgridsarcflash)
- TechnicalSupportProvideelectricaltechnicalsupportandproblemsolvingaswellasonsiteandinhousetroubleshootingandproblemsolving.
- AutoCADProvideanduseelectrical/mechanicaldrawingsasrequiredforsubstationmaintenanceand/orelectricalconstructioninstallations.
- ReportsReviewandcompletereportsreviewworkperformedbyothersreviewsaleschargestocoincidewithreports.
- OilAnalysisProvidetechnicalassistanceandcommentsontransformeroilresults.
- Complete Understandingandprovenproficiencyforquotingandjobestimation.
- Supportandreviewtechnicalinquiriesofcustomerstomakerecommendations.
- Provide assistancetoenableaccuratequotestocustomersfromAccountManagersforallworktobeperformedbytheElectricalDivision
- Performallworkwithinhealthandsafetyregulationsandapplicableregulatorycodes.
- Drive/leadstudiesprojectdesigningandtechnicalbidpreparationforprojects.
- Conduct Infrared Thermography/Scanning of plant electrical equipment and troubleshooting.

- CET certification and 309A
- Trades Certificate(s)withrelatedexperience
- Minimum Level 1 Infrared Thermography Certification (a benefit)
EXPERIENCE
Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveproventechnicalskillcategoriesfocusingonsubstationandtransformerinstallationcommissioningandserviceandmaintenance.Minimum35yearsworkexperience.
