PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Engineering team supports daily manufacturing operations in the Clinton PA (Pittsburgh PA) facility. The focus of this intern project is to provide support to optimize manufacturing processes and material flow within the manufacturing spaces.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the Manufacturing Engineering team with process improvement activities; updating and documenting procedures and performing verification steps.
Support Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and FirstPass Yield (FPY) improvements
Collect data on manufacturing processes to support developing a process baseline and also the verification of data collection processes
Comply with all ISO 14001 and 13485 requirements.
Comply with internal environmental management system requirements as applicable.
Qualifications:
Current standing as a Rising Sophomore Junior Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering or related field Undergraduate or Graduate program required.
Prior internship experience leadership experience or relevant coursework
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word Excel and PowerPoint
Strong technical writing analytical and communication skills
Detailoriented with an emphasis on quality work products
Highly motivated selfstarter with demonstrated experience working with teams
PROJECT DELIVERABLES:

Education/Skills:
Undergraduate with major in Biomedical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering (Plastics)
Solidworks experience desired.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint and Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Selfdirected and able to work without supervision
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
