We are currently recruiting to our Short Break Service Haddon House Burnley
Caring and reliableCommunity Support Workersto work within the Burnley Pendle and Rossendale Short Break ServiceinAdult Social CareatLancashire County Council.
We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support to come and join our team. Our Short Break Service requires Wake and Watch Community Support Workers to join us in making a substantial difference to the lives of the people we support within our Adult Disability Service.
You will be welcomed to our existing team and work alongside them to support people at night time and support them to enjoy their respite and night time routine. It is not essential that you have a background in Health and Social Care you just need to have a good heart and a caring nature. We provide all the required training to ensure you get the most from your role with qualifications on offer its a great opportunity to progress in this service and turn it into a career to be proud of!
You will be required to work on a fixed rota with some flexibility to suit service needs. Your working hours will be from 10 pm to 8am with some 9am finishes occasionally. You will be paid extra for weekend work as part of your rota.

Empathy & Resilience you will have an understanding of the challenges the people we support deal with which means an empathic nature is of upmost importance you will be working alongside other colleagues supporting people with varying learning disabilities and health needs including some behavioural difficulties that may challenge. It is essential that you are able to communicate clearly and effectively with every individual providing reassurance and positivity.

The Adult Disability Service also promotes career development opportunities with various qualifications and training on offer you will be able to take advantage of a QCF qualification (Qualifications and Credit Framework) which is NVQ Level 3 equivalent we also have very supportive management team who ensure all team members are guided great culture and youll be working alongside people with the same values as your own.
