Are you an experienced and passionate Social Sciences teacher ready to take on a leadership role
A Hounslowbased school is seeking a Head of Social Sciences to lead and develop the department ensuring exceptional student outcomes and a dynamic engaging curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to shape the subject across all key stages while supporting and mentoring a dedicated team of teachers.
The Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Social Sciences curriculum to ensure highquality teaching and learning.
- Inspire and support a team of teachers promoting professional growth and collaboration.
- Monitor student progress implementing strategies to ensure strong academic outcomes.
- Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment supporting all students.
- Contribute to wholeschool initiatives pastoral responsibilities and enrichment opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with students and families to support holistic development.
Requirements:
- QTS (or equivalent) and a good honours degree in a relevant subject.
- At least three years of teaching experience at the secondary level with a proven ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Strong leadership communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for Social Sciences with the ability to develop and deliver a highquality curriculum.
- Commitment to inclusion character education and student personal development.
