You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailIn partnership with the FPU Wilderness Studies Program Coordinator and other relevant operations staff this role is the key food support leader for one or more iterations of the FPU Wilderness Summer Sierra Program. Youll be responsible for managing all foodrelated tasks outside of wilderness settings including base camp and frontcountry meal support. Your duties will include budgeting meal planning purchasing and preparing food as well as collaborating with and leading a team of support staff to ensure smooth and efficient food operations throughout the program. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in creating a positive and memorable experience for participants!
Qualifications:
Environmental Conditions:
Staff may work in areas with differing temperatures from warm kitchens to cooler storage spaces and may experience varying air quality.
Dynamic FastPaced Atmosphere including frequent movement and varying noise levels during meal preparation.
The role involves standing bending lifting and navigating compact spaces while managing tasks efficiently.
Staff will work with cleaning agents kitchen equipment and allergenic ingredients requiring attention to safety procedures and crosscontamination prevention.
Staff will work closely with others in a teamoriented environment ensuring smooth operations and a positive work atmosphere.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand bend and lift for extended periods while performing tasks that require mobility and dexterity.
Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced kitchen environment with frequent movement and variable noise levels.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting carrying and organizing supplies or equipment often in compact workspaces.
Ability to follow safety protocols when handling kitchen tools cleaning agents and allergenic ingredients.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team contributing to a smooth workflow in a dynamic setting.
$17.00 to $20.50 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications experience and internal equity. In addition to compensation FPU offers a competitive benefits package.
