SS&C is searching for a skilled OpenShift Administrator to manage and optimize our container orchestration platform. As an OpenShift Administrator you will play a pivotal role in deploying configuring and maintaining OpenShift clusters while ensuring smooth operation and high availability of our applications. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance our infrastructure and support continuous integration and delivery workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain OpenShift clusters onpremises.
- Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage user access and permissions within the OpenShift environment.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
- Work with development teams to optimize applications running on OpenShift.
- Create and maintain documentation related to OpenShift configurations and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest OpenShift and Kubernetes features and best practices.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement best security practices for containerized applications.
- Conversions from VMware to OpenShift
- Ability to Manage a VMware environment
Requirements
- 4 years of experience as an OpenShift Administrator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of OpenShift and Kubernetes architecture and components.
- Handson experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash Python or Groovy.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations in a containerized environment.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- OpenShift or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
- VMware Certifications a plus.
