Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Google FinOps Engineer to optimize and manage our financial operations on the Google Cloud Platform. This role will involve monitoring cloud costs analyzing usage patterns and providing strategic recommendations to minimize expenses while maximizing resource efficiency.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in FinOps or Cloud Cost Management with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven experience with GCP billing budgeting and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate cloud usage and expenditures.
- Familiarity with GCP services and pricing models.
- Experience in creating and maintaining financial dashboards and reports.
- Knowledge of FinOps tools and best practices.
- Understanding of cost optimization techniques including rightsizing and commitment plans.
- Excellent communication skills to convey financial insights to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure costeffective cloud utilization.
- Relevant certifications in FinOps or GCP are a plus.
