LandSolutions is looking to expand their talent pipeline in Calgary to service our clients by supporting the Talent Sourcing team in our Land and Property Advisory team. These consultant positions are largely outsourced and hosted at the Clients offices. We are currently looking for a Mineral & Contract Analyst in our clients offices in Calgary primarily working with wells and royalties. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft review and negotiate contracts related to the exploration extraction and transportation of minerals.
  • Conduct review of leases and contracts related to existing and newly acquired royalties
  • Accurately analyze and update lease contract and well data in LandRite and Royalty Studio to ensure protection of clients interests
  • Respond to internal queries regarding land and well/royalty data
  • Administration of production allocation agreements and related contracts
  • Identify and assess risks associated with contracts and develop strategies to mitigate potential legal and financial risks.
  • Collaborate with geologists mining engineers and financial analysts in project planning and development.
  • Prepare technical reports feasibility studies and economic evaluations of mining projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years experience as a contract analyst in mineral land and contract administration
  • Previous experience in contract and royalty interpretation
  • Previous experience across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (BC AB and SK) is an asset as is experience with well spacing regulations and production allocation practices
  • Excellent skills using LandRite and AccuMap
  • Expert skills in Microsoft including MS Teams SharePoint Word and Excel
  • Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills with an aptitude for systems and processes

Special Job Dimensions:
Able to work in the client office in Calgary
Ability to work under deadlines and time constraints
