Job Description

SunSource and its family of companies represent 200 locations and 3000 employees making up one of North Americas leading valueadd industrial distribution companies. We provide customers with products and solutions within Fluid Power Fluid Process Fluid Conveyance General Industrial Components and Industrial Service & Repair. www.sunsource

We currently have an exciting Fluid Power Outside Sales opportunity available based in the Baton Rouge area. In this role you will develop new business while being assisted by our highly knowledgeable customer serviceteam and supportive managers.

Essential Functions

    • Work with your District Sales Manager to create a sales plan to develop a prospect list to capture new business
    • Full cycle prospecting activities including qualification of leads cold calls and sales presentations
    • Regularly meet with Sales Supervisor to review weekly sales activities progress on goals and status of prospective customers
    • Collaborate with knowledgeable customer service and technical support teams who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your sales goals
    • Understanding of the market in the territory to generate and prospect for new business
    • Utilization of tools and resources to plan and manage time and territory
    • Cadence and accountability weekly review with the sales manager
    • Expanding while maintaining existing business

Experience Education Skills

    • Bachelors degree in related discipline OR a 2year technical degree preferably in Fluid Power; OR any suitable combination of education training and work experience
    • 13 years industrial or technical outside sales experience
    • Application and troubleshooting experience with fluid power products and systems is preferred
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
    • Valid drivers license
    • Occasional overnight travel may be required
