The accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing financial operations for our growing company. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy integrity and compliance of financial data while supporting strategic decisionmaking. InSource is looking for a tech savvy Accountant to join our team in San Juan PR! We offer an engaging and collaborative work environment based on respect and communication.The ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.This position requires excellent organizational skills document management monitoring financial data preparing statements reviewing and analyzing company accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.Highly knowledgeable in the laws and regulations governing accounting in PR. Work closely with the management team and especially with the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Financial Activities: Gather monitor and supervise all financial and accounting operations for the various PR entities.
- Prepare Financial Statements: Compile accurate and timely monthly quarterly and annual financial statements including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and oversee compliance with tax regulations.
- Coordinate Internal Audits: Plan and organize internal audits to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and Resolve Discrepancies: Monitor financial data to detect and report on accounting discrepancies ensuring accuracy in all financial records.
- Conduct Risk Analysis: Perform detailed risk analyses to evaluate potential investments and support decisionmaking.
- Analyze Financial Trends: Examine financial trends and data to provide insights and support strategic planning.
- Close Financial Periods: Execute monthend and yearend closing processes efficiently and accurately.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
- Indepth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Solid knowledge of accounting Local & Federal regulations
- Timemanagement abilities
- Confidentiality
- Fluent English Speaker
- BSc degree in Accounting Finance or a relevant field
- Additional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
- preferred.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office programs and QuickBooks
