The successful candidate will be expected to workwith class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils promoting pupils independence selfesteem and social inclusion. They will also provide support to pupils individually or in groups so they can access the curriculum take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
The HLTA will be expected to cover and lead class teaching across the academy when appropriate directing the work where relevant of other adults in supporting learning. They will undertakeany other relevant duties given by the class teacher and will contributeto effective assessment and planning by supporting the monitoring recording and reporting of pupil performance and progress as appropriate to the level of the role.A HLTA qualification would be desirable together with the abilityto support teachers in increasing achievement of all pupils including where appropriate those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Applications are invited from qualified HLTAs or experienced Teaching Assistants who would like to undertake a school funded HLTA qualification.
