Job Description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Whitby
Salary: Up to 500 per week
Contract: Fulltime and parttime opportunities available

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Whitby. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting childrens learning and development in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons
  • Support students with their learning providing onetoone and small group assistance where needed
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom resources
  • Provide additional support for pupils with special educational needs if required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
  • A patient supportive and adaptable approach to working with young learners
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to undertake training and professional development
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
