Members are paired with a dedicated handyman who regularly visits their home with a simple app to coordinate. Were on a mission to make home upkeep effortless replacing hassle and stress with the joy that comes from comfortable living.
Were excited to hire our first inhouse recruiter who will also assist with people operations. Your primary focus from Day 1 will be supporting the growth of our Field Team (handymen and handywomen) who are the heart of our service. Youll have the opportunity to build and scale Honey Homes recruiting engine both in the Bay Area and beyond by working closely with our Operations Team and Field Managers to refine our hiring process recruit top tradespeople and help create a smooth onboarding experience.
This role is based in our office in Oakland CA. Experience recruiting front line or non office roles is a must.
What Youll Do
Own hiring pipeline: Increase our pipeline of highquality candidates via job boards and outbound sourcing plus by testing new channels for connecting with top tradespeople.
Refine and scale hiring processes: Partner with Field Operations to refine hiring criteria for Honey Homes handypeople and iterate on our interview process and ATS setup for increased efficiency and visibility.
Recruiting coordination: Ensure candidates efficiently move forward in the interview process and deliver a great candidate experience every step of the way.
Hire top talent: Deliver on our hiring goals by completing a high volume of phone screens and successfully closing candidates that meet our high bar for trade skills and hospitality.
Embrace our culture of hospitality: Our handypeople are the heart of our service and our members are our VIPs. Youll embody and evangelize hospitality as weve defined it at Honey Homes.
Support people operations: As we scale support peoplerelated activities like offer extension onboarding setup and more.
Were Looking for Someone Who:
Knows how to hire at scale and can build the foundation to do so: You have experience hiring at a high volume to hit goals but without all the bells and whistles already in place. Youre comfortable working out of a Google spreadsheet but just as comfortable moving that sheet into software.
Has experience in frontline or nonoffice hiring: You understand how to connect with and assess candidates for roles outside of an office setting and get them excited about an opportunity.
Has a growth mindset: Youre a selfstarter who is comfortable jumping into projects without a lot of oversight or examples. Youve successfully taken ideas from 01 in the past.
Is a strong communicator and collaborator: You have great verbal and written skills and can make anyone feel comfortable in conversation. You know how to build trust with key stakeholders and when to question the way things have always been done.
Has a startup mindset: Youre flexible and not stuck in just one way of doing things. Youre willing to test and iterate quickly and navigate change with grace.
Prioritizes all day long. You understand whats the most important thing to be working on and make sure it gets done.
Documents everything. You write down what you are doing. You share clear concise and frequent updates with your team.
