About The Role & Team
Were looking for a Customer Data Scientist to join the Experiment team within Amplitude. You will be part of a passionate group of product managers engineers and designers who are working to help modern businesses transform their products through data and experimentation. As a Customer Data Scientist you have a unique opportunity to deeply influence the product with your knowledge and views on advanced statistical methodologies customers who are looking to learn from an expert on experimentation best practices and the market with your views on the world of experimentation.

As a Senior Customer Data Scientist you will:
- Spend 75 of your time with customers/prospects providing strategic advice and insights to customers partners and internal teams on experimentation best practices and methodologies
- Work closely with Account Executives and Solution Engineers on customer presentations demos and Q&A on advanced statistical topics
- Partner with Product and GotoMarket to develop refine and articulate Amplitudes vision and product strategy for Experimentation including translating customer needs into actionable product roadmaps
- Stay on the leading edge of experimentation and applied statistics
- Create compelling content deliver educational initiatives engage with our community represent Amplitude at conferences and trade shows and evangelize Amplitudes Experiment product and methodologies both internally and externally
- Foster a culture of shared expertise uplifting the knowledge base of those around you
Youll be a great addition to the team if you have:
- A masters or Ph.D. degree in computer science mathematics or related areas with extensive research/project experience in data science experimentation digital product optimization math statistics etc.
- Have built and extensively used data pipelines in a variety of data warehouse environments.
- Proficiency with Python and SQL
- Has 5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist in the past and is familiar with the Experimentation space including handson experience using experimentation products and scaling experimentation programs
- Are interested and comfortable communicating with customers as a trusted advisor
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills including interest in writing blogs for Amplitude/on LinkedIn participating in webinars events etc.
- Can represent the voice of the market and share feedback and views to Product

Based on legislation in California the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $185000 $319000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission) plus equity.
