Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SMT Senior Process Engineer to join our client’s manufacturing team in JohorMalaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing optimizing and maintaining SMT processes to ensure high product quality yield and throughput in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize SMT processes including solder paste printing component placement reflow soldering AOI SPI and X-ray inspection.

Select validate and implement new SMT equipment tools and materials.

Define process parameters and conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) to improve process capability and efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on yield enhancement process stability and cost reduction.

Troubleshoot process and equipment issues perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Develop and maintain process documentation such as SOPs work instructions and control plans.

Collaborate with R&D Quality Production and Maintenance teams for new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change implementations.

Monitor process KPIs and provide regular reports to management.

Ensure compliance with IPC standards and ESD practices.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Electrical Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in SMT process engineering in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of SMT equipment and inspection systems

Familiarity with IPC-A-610 J-STD-001 and other industry standards.

Proficient in root cause analysis tools & six sigma

Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
