The F135 Lightning Sustainment Center (LSC) is seeking a F135 Hardware Customer Support Engineer at the WrightPatterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) a vibrant and dynamic facility located in Dayton Ohio. As part of Military Customer Support & Services duties include support of Field Customers at Base locations across different military services and multiple international customers. As a program with a growing customer base including internationally the F135 is an exciting program to be a part of.

In this role you will continually refine technical support solutions within the Global Operations Center in direct liaison and collaboration with the F35 Joint Program Office (JPO) and industry personnel. This collaboration will enhance your skills and make you part of a larger network. Your performance will significantly contribute to delivering enhanced global F135 technical support capabilities across a broad Continental US (CONUS) and Outside CONUS (OCONUS) operating spectrum at both main operating bases deployed landbased and/or maritime environments. You will refine and sustain twoway supply lines of communication between all Program participants.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide timely responses to numerous technical questions to ensure uninterrupted daily flight operations; respond to Action Requests (AR) to support operational customer flight operations author presentations logistics assessments and support engineering investigations.
  • Coordinate technical issue resolution P&W Component Integrated Product Team Logistics Program Management (LPM) and Joint Program Office (JPO) customer. Host meetings with JPO for Category 1 Action Requests as well as JPO meetings on issues
  • Provide field Hardware Customer Support Engineering support to maintain uninterrupted daily flight operations.
  • Support mishap investigations and Engineering Investigations related to hardware issues.
  • Travel required 1015.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A bachelors degree in engineering with 8 years of experience in engineering field service operations or equivalent.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. governmentissued Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • U.S. Military Aircraft/Engine Maintenance or equivalent civilian training.
  • F135 Sustainment experience is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage crossfunctional teams as needed and knows when/where to get help; as well as working across functions organizations and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute work independently through complex technical decisionmaking. Define and plan technical path for mediumscale tasks as well as focus on results with the ability to drive tasks to closure
  • Strong analytical problemsolving skills; and communication skills including verbal technical writing and engineering presentations to all levels of engineering and program management.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

For onsite roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
