Lifeguard

Learn how to save lives and have fun! No previous training is necessary. Lifeguards are responsible for keeping a vigilant eye on swimmers at our aquatic facilities keeping a clean environment and enforcing rules to keep a safe environment for all members guests and staff. This position is the perfect opportunity to build confidence work as a team and learn lifelong lifesaving skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform lifeguard duties as trained by StarGuard guidelines
• Provide a safe healthy enjoyable experience for all swimmers by: enforcing pool rules in a firm but pleasant way being helpful and friendly to patrons and being aware and alert at all times while on the job.
• Perform daily assignments for cleaning of the facility.
• Report any broken safety or mechanical equipment to the manager or assistant manager immediately.
• Perform rescues and administer proper care and first aid if an accident or injury occurs.
• Must attend and participate in four hours of inservice trainings per month.
• Review and practice lifeguard skills while on duty

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years old required
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification (including First Aid and infant child and adult CPR).
• Have knowledge of water safety practices and usage of water safety equipment.
