This is a remote position.

AremoteMedia Strategistjob is now available via The Keller Group. The Media Strategist will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic and audience-driven paid media plans and buys across all media channels. This role will have an emphasis on broadcast buying and budget management, but we are looking for someone with digital-forward experience working across planning, buying, and reporting across both traditional and digital media.

Media Strategist Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with media peers to develop integrated media strategies that best reach the target audience and improve market performance (traditional and digital media campaigns)
  • Lead media team on reporting, optimization, and analysis across all budgets, plans, presentations, etc.
  • Hands-on strategy and execution of media planning, buying, research, implementation, reporting, budgeting, optimization, and trafficking of creative assets
  • Consult with clients and provide strategic partnership in terms of media goals, campaign planning, recommendations, performance, etc.
  • Proactively develop market media proposals, research new media opportunities, and optimize current spend for optimum results
  • Monitors media for pacing, delivery, placement, flight date discrepancies, and negotiate any make goods, credit or billing adjustments when necessary
  • Relationship building with media vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure projects deadlines and campaigns budgets are being clearly communicated
  • Research and analyze media options and campaign performance to identify new trends or make adjustments to campaigns to increase performance and deliver better results
  • Negotiate with media vendors to ensure the best rates and value are being secured for clients, as well as ensuring proper placements and scheduling
  • Provide custom reports and present to department leaders and executives on campaign results
  • Keep up with media buying and planning trends and technology

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, or related field of study
  • Ideally 2+ years of professional media buying and planning experience across all major channels (broadcast, programmatic, search, social, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel – Pivot Tables, Lookups, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with various media buying software such as Strata, Kantar, Nielsen, Scarborough, etc.
  • Understanding of programmatic digital ad platforms such as The Trade Desk, Facebook/IG, Twitter, Google Ads, etc.
  • Know how to set up pixel implementation and conversion tracking across tag management and media platforms
  • Ability to analyze performance data and manage reporting tools
  • Strong negotiating and relationship building skills
  • Understand business KPIs and translate metrics to drive business outcomes
