Remote Back-end Developer (Open to Latin America)

Only candidates with 3+ years of overall software development experience are eligible for this role.

Turing.com is looking for a Back-end Developer on behalf of an emerging platform created to connect a community of progressive organizers, activists, and people seeking help. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving the API for the company’s new product. The platform helps users to discover groups to support and get personalized recommendations on how they can help with issues. This is a unique opportunity for developers to work for a relevant cause and make some real impact.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build, scale and, enhance the back-end system design, product architecture, and API development

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customers have a seamless experience

• Architect and build out new capabilities on the platform

• Translate powerful ideas into business value

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer

• Prior experience working with Python/Asyncio, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB

• Solid expertise in REST/RESTful APIs, Docker, SQL, and NoSQL databases

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills

• Excellent collaboration and documentation skills
