Remote Data Engineer (Python, SQL, AWS Lambda, and Docker)

Only candidates with 3+ years of overall software development experience are eligible for this role.

Turing.com is looking for a Data Engineer on behalf of a US-based startup that empowers small business owners across the country. As an engineer, you will utilize your experience to create appropriate solutions and tools to solve complex data engineering problems. The company aims at helping people look and feel their best and has become the go-to marketplace for people to discover, book, and pay for beauty and grooming services. The candidate will join an impactful, multi-functional team dedicated to creating a data-driven culture and defining the product and development process. This role requires at least 6+ hours of overlap with PST, and it will be a full-time, long-term position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners

• Work in an agile team with Analysts, Data Scientists, and Engineers to build datasets/pipeline

• Make progress towards the team's OKR

• Build high-quality ETL pipelines and contribute to the data Infrastructure project

• Analyze requirements and architecture specifications to create detailed design

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• At least 3-5+ years of relevant data engineering experience

• Must be experienced in Python, SQL, AWS Lambda, and Docker

• Experience in data modeling is a big plus.

• Nice to have some expertise in Spark, Kinesis, and RedShift, etc.

• Experience monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data, and partnering with other internal teams to solve difficult problems

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders
