Responsibilities.
- To implement theEAL/ESLcurricula and schemes of work for students throughout the school.
- To liaise with the Head ofSecondaryand theMYPteamsand the curriculum leadersto ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
- To participate in the design, development, implementation and review of theEAL/ESL curriculum
- To participate in the design, development, implementation and review of assessment and reporting systems
- To promotethehealth and safety of assigned classes
- To participate inprofessional development and contribute toregularstafftraining/meetings
- To encourage the team spirit in the primaryschool anddevelop linkswith colleagues across theschool
- To contribute to community service and global citizenship goals
- To contribute tothe extra-curricular activities programme of the school
- To contribute to the development of a positive attitude between the primary/secondaryschool and the wider community through cooperative relations,publications, competitions etc.

Specific Responsibilities.The successful candidate will assume this post at a crucial stage in the development ofISL Qatar. The following list gives an indication of some of the specific current matters to be addressed.
- To participate in the current development of theMYP, addressing matters arising from our PYP& MYPauthorisation report
- Touse technology to support EAL/ESL learning,especially throughuse of aVirtual Learning Environment (ManageBac)
- To participate in the on-going accreditation process with the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Associationof Schools and Colleges (NEASC)
- To participate in development of Assessment for Learning (AFL) and Understanding by Design (UBD)
- To participate in the development of the new pastoral programmes
