- Ensure Company owned and managed vessels are operated in a safe and efficient manner and in full compliance with Class and Statutory regulations.
- Act as the focal point for ships Masters for advice during, before and after operations on any Marine topic.
- Work, when requested, by the QHSE department on incident investigation.
- Manage the marine department to ensure that the vessels carry required publications, procedures, operational manuals, and other documents required by the flag state and other regulatory bodies, and that these are updated as required.
- Ensure that IMCA guidelines and best industry practices are always adhered to, covering Vessel DP operations, equipment and personnel competency requirements as per IMCA 117.
- Act as DP Authority for MSM.
- Ensure the Marine department attends Annual DP trials & FMEA Trials of existing and newbuild vessels.
- Review annual / 5 yearly DP trials documents prior to acceptance from third party.
- Carry out Gap analysis and Lessons learned after any DP incident.
