Devops Engineer

Job Description

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Maintaining current production systems and other integrated environments
• Working on ways to automate and improve internal processes
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and hot-fixes when necessary
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.
• Pitch in the systems development when necessary

Job Requirements

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant degree
• Excellent command of English
• 1-3 years experience in the field
• Excellent knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript, … etc.)
• Previous experience with Programming overall
• Excellent Knowledge of data structures, design patterns and algorithmic approaches
• Strong background in Linux/Unix administration
• Previous experience with Virtual Machines and Containerization using Docker
• Experience using Git as a version control system

Extra Qualifications:

• Continuous Integration and Continuous delivery, especially using Jenkins
• Configuration Management tools, especially Puppet or Ansible
• Infrastructure as Code, especially using Transformer or AWS CloudFormation
• Cluster orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes
• Experience with Cloud providers, especially AWS and Azure
