Job Description
As the Pricing Coordinator you will optimize pricing strategies to enhance profitability and competitive positioning conduct market analysis develop pricing models and implement pricing policies to attract customers and develop business.
Primary focus is on Import Air and Import Ocean transportation with other products to follow.
This position will ensure a standardized pricing team model encompassing centralized rate management and a centralized way of performing all pricing requests that will ensure speed and accuracy in quote responses is adhered to while still allowing the branch to achieve consistent profitability and growth of operating income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate rate cards for a portfolio of customers updated on a bimonthly basis.
- Respond to customer quote requests within 24 hours.
- Request and consolidate rates from local carriers and overseas offices (origin and destination).
- Maintain current local transportation charges for various modes and regions.
- Liaise with product managers and sales teams to confirm appropriate profit margins for quotations.
- Support adhoc pricing and tender submissions when required.
Qualifications :
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Freight Forwarding experience
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas data analysis).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and compare rate structures.
- Solid understanding of FCL and LCL pricing models.
- Prior experience with ocean freight pricing in key trade lanes (Asia USA Europe).
- Strong problemsolving organisational and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
- Selfmotivated and comfortable working in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly in a dynamic market.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
