Position Summary
The Southern Tier Community Center is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Party Host to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests ensuring that all party activities run smoothly and providing exceptional customer service. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fastpaced environment and enjoy working with diverse groups of people of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Perform all party setup and breakdown of party areas ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Greet guests upon arrival and ensure they feel welcomed and comfortable.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with clients families staff and community contacts with a diversity of backgrounds and life situations.
- Check on the party about every 20 30 minutes
- Have all guest sign facility rental and pool rules if they haven t done so online.
- Coordinate party activities as required.
- Communicate effectively with guests to understand their needs and preferences.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during the event.
- Collaborate with other staff members as needed or required
- Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure during busy events.
- Good time management skills and ability to show up to work on time.
- Opportunity to cross train in the Welcome Center and fill in oncall shifts
Requirements
Education
- Highschool Diploma/GED preferred
Experience
- 6 months to 1 year experience in a customer service role
- at least 36 months experience events management catering food service or restaurant settings preferred
- Ability to multitask problem solve and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.
