JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
A Linux Administrator Responsibilities:
1 Install and maintain software systems as well as manage server performance and availability.
2 Maintain all system backups and aid in the restoration of all operations.
3 Create and manage all system tools for all scripts and automation processes as well as oversee all capacity planning.
4 Integrate all essential software and address any difficulties across numerous technologies as well as design and offer backup support for business servers.
5 Monitor daily systems evaluate the availability of all server resources and carry out all Linux server tasks.
6 Assist in the setup and deployment of all virtual machines as well as the installation and backup of all configuration procedures.
7 Maintain and monitor all patch releases as well as devise multiple patch installation procedures and keep all systems up to date as per standards.
8 Manage all resource performance and assure optimisation as well as provide support for all applications and maintain an ideal level of customer service.
Requirements
Linux Administration Skills:
1 Previous experience working as a Linux Administrator.
2 Extensive understanding of Linux including RedHat CentOS and Ubuntu.
3 Understanding of VMWare PAM and SAN administration and concepts.
4 Extensive knowledge of Shell scripting.
5 Thorough understanding of protocols such as DNS HTTP LDAP SMTP and SNMP.
6 Additional Linux certifications (RHCT RHCE and LPIC) will be viewed favorably.
7 Installation configuration of OS RHEL CentOS.
8 Handling the server.
9 Monitoring the server.
10 Working on a ticketing tool assign the tickets.
11 Good knowledge of Soft link and Hardlink.
12 Good knowledge of File permission.
13 Basic of shell scripting.
14 Linux scheduler Cron.
15 Software and Package installation using Yum and Rpm.
16 IP configuration of servers like IP GatewayNetmask Domain name.
17 Logical Volume Management LVM.
18 DNS.
19 Excellent problemsolving communication abilities & disciplined behavior.
