Job Title: Direct Care Worker

Location: Quakertown PA 18951

Salary: $16.50 per hour

Position Type: W2 (Per Diem Part Time Full Time Temp to Perm)

Schedules Available:

  • Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Saturday 11pm7am
  • Monday through Friday 11pm7am
  • Thursday and Friday 11pm7am Saturday and Sunday 7pm7am (must have med training for this schedule)

Eagle Staffing Company is seeking compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professionals/Caregivers to join our team in the Quakertown area. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for safety and supervision of our consumers with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Behavioral health histories to facilitate healthy and socially acceptable behaviors while living in communitybased sites. This position will coordinate with clinical staff implement residentially based interventions and assist the clients in achieving their clinical assignments. The DSP is responsible for fulfilling the obligations as outlined in the clients program plan. The DSP will prompt or assist as necessary to ensure the clients participate in the activities of daily living in both the home and the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily living support including assistance with personal care and hygiene meal preparation and medication administration.
  • Develop and maintain positive supportive relationships with clients.
  • Implement care plans to meet individual needs.
  • Promote the independence and social skills of clients.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and community outings.
  • Observe and document client progress.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pennsylvania Criminal Clearance (obtained within the last year).
  • Recent Physical Examination (within the last 6 months).
  • 2 Step PPD or Quantiferon test (within the last year).
  • Covid Vaccination or religious/medical exemption
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Med Tech training (preferred)
