This position is designated as a field position. As a field worker an employee spends the majority of his/her time traveling for their position performing duties to include but not limited to inspections monitoring observing training technical assistance site visits conducting interviews reviewing records and data collection in various environments. Field workers are expected to manage their daily itineraries report progress and coordinate their travel schedule with their supervisor. This designation is determined and approved only by management. Field workers are also required to report to the DCY Office Space on a quarterly basis and based on operational need.
Frequent travel within assigned regions in Ohio some with overnight stays is required for this position. The selected candidate must provide their own transportation or to operate a state vehicle must have a valid drivers license.

Proficiency Instruments/Assessments may be required for this position; Applicant must demonstrate proficiency with a passing score to move on to the structured interview portion. Regardless of a passing or failing score all results will be maintained for 6 months. Applicant with a passing score will be retained and utilized this 6month period. Applicant with a failing score in the same classification may not retake the same selection assessment for this 6month period.
Travel required as needed. Must provide own transportation or in order to operate a state vehicle you must have a valid drivers license.

Under administrative direction of the Ohio Family and Children First Council (OFCF) Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director serves as Regional Coordinator responsible for developing planning and implementing program policy and activities to assist local Ohio family and children first councils: oversees the statewide implementation of service coordination for multisystem youth; supports development and implementation of statewide parent support programs; participates in the state Multi System Youth (MSY) program (e.g. reviews cases; attends consultations; provides technical assistance); participates in system decision sessions as a subject matter expert; provides on site technical assistance and delivers presentations to assigned local family and children first councils; develops and amends monitoring tools and other program oversight aids to support best practice; OFCF website content development and maintenance; provides professional trainings to agency and county staff stakeholders; assists in crosstraining of other regional coordinators; partners with state sister agencies on shared projects.
Analyzes and evaluates OFCF program procedures and policies; serves as a subject matter expert (SME) during Ohio Automated Service Coordination Information System (OASCIS) design sessions; provides technical advice and utilizes data to aid administrators and inform decision making at the state and local levels.
Develops and coordinates public relations for program by serving as liaison between state and community organizations while building relationships among systems and agencies who serve family and children; researches and responds to inquiries and complaints; furnishes information and explains program to public legislators and news media; writes position papers and reports (e. g. semiannual and annual state reports); makes speeches and gives lectures on behalf of the office.
