About the Role
Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) provides clinical counselling services to employees of client organizations who may be experiencing problems in their personal family or work lives. In addition the program provides a variety of organizational services to its corporate clients including workplace consulting and training and critical incident stress management responses. As a social enterprise of Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) FSEAP is a feegenerating business with all of its profits going to support the larger work of FSGV and the Greater Vancouver community.
FSEAP Vancouver maintains a provincial network of highly qualified and experienced counsellors who provide clinical services to employees and their family members. FSEAP Vancouvers network includes clinical counsellors through solo providers and counselling firms and agencies across B.C/Yukon. These affiliates all hold a Master or Doctorate degree in psychology counselling psychology or social work have a minimum of five years or 2500 hours of clinical experience and are registered with a provincial professional registering body. They are experienced in their fields and skilled in providing assessment crisis intervention shortterm counselling and community resource referral to employees and their family members.
Please note special consideration will be given to inperson traumainformed BIPOC and/or bilingual counsellors or those that have training and experience providing onsite CIR/CISM and/or working with First Responders Indigenous and/or 2SLGBTQ clients.
About our Opportunity:
Counselling Services
- Provide shortterm counselling services within a brief treatment solutionfocused clinical framework for FSEAP Clients
- Collaboratively develop SMART goals and service plans with clients
- Refer and bridge clients to community resources for specialized or intensive services
- Ensure all Counselling and EAP Program Protocols and standards are adhered to
- Maintain clinical recordings and documentation via an online portal that is consistent with FSEAP policies
- Maintain the strictest level of confidentiality with all client and agency information

Preference will be given to inperson providers located in Vancouver Burnaby Richmond Terrace Fernie Cranbrook andKimberley.Other BC cities will also be considered based on client demand.
Wage:Hourly rate will be negotiated depending on location of service(s) and clinical experience.
Work hours: Variable

What you bring:
Education Training Experience
- Masters degree in a clinical discipline
- Professional Registration: Membership in a professional registering body required (e.g. RCC RSW CCC RPsych etc)
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience or 2500 hours of clinical experience
Knowledge Skills Abilities (for all positions)
- Superior clinical skills including significant understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues
- Knowledge and experience in delivering assessment referral and clinical counselling services within a shortterm solution focused framework or brief therapy model
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to assist clients to effectively access utilize and benefit from those resources
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage professional clinical records
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in learning to navigate an online portal (e.g. file management system)
