Position Overview: The Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales within a designated region managing customer relationships and promoting the company s products or services. This role focuses on achieving sales targets expanding the customer base and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Sales Officer will also play a key role in market development brand visibility and supporting the overall sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Planning & Target Achievement:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer visits to maximize productivity.
- Monitor and assess sales performance regularly to ensure targets are being met.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong longlasting relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand client needs and recommend appropriate products or services to meet those needs.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Lead Generation & New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling networking and market research.
- Expand the customer base by identifying new prospects understanding their needs and converting leads into sales.
- Keep an uptodate database of prospects and track sales progress.
- Sales Presentations & Negotiations:
- Conduct sales presentations to prospective customers effectively communicating the features benefits and value of the company s products or services.
- Negotiate pricing terms and contracts in line with company policies and profitability goals.
- Close sales deals while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends competitor activities and market conditions to stay ahead of market demands.
- Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and competitor strategies.
- Conduct regular market visits and surveys to gain insights into customer behavior and opportunities.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities client interactions and sales results.
- Provide regular sales reports to management including key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales forecasts.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and recommend adjustments to sales strategies.
- Product Knowledge & Training:
- Maintain indepth knowledge of the company s products services and industry developments.
- Participate in regular training to stay updated on new product offerings and sales techniques.
- Educate clients about the product s features benefits and how it meets their specific needs.
- Customer Service & Support:
- Ensure the smooth of customer orders product deliveries and postsales support.
- Address any customer complaints or issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with internal teams such as marketing logistics and customer service to ensure seamless sales .
- Collaborate with team members to share best practices and achieve collective sales goals.
- Assist in organizing events promotional activities or product launches to boost sales.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree
- 2 years of experience in sales preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Selfmotivated goaloriented and able to work independently.
- Good understanding of customer needs and sales techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Ability to analyze market data and generate sales reports.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in B2B or B2C sales.
- Knowledge of industryspecific sales processes or products.
- Ability to build and maintain a strong client network.
