As our Wellbeing & Injury Management Team Lead you will lead the delivery of effective injury prevention claims management and injury management processes in support of business objectives.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead coach and develop to the Wellbeing & Injury Management Team Advisors and Coordinator ensuring development of their skills and high levels of customer focus in support of stores and support centre.
- Assist to develop and implement simple relevant and effective injury and claims management policies procedures and strategies that minimise operational impact reduce costs and continually improve health and safety results.
- Work collaboratively with the Injury Management & Wellbeing Manager to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives targets and timeframes for implementation.
- Provide practical training and coaching to leaders in support of improved knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing for their team and the greater business.
- Assist to develop and implement any health and wellbeing initiatives or strategies to ensure the business has best practices in place.
- Assist to ensure the Injury Management System is maintained with accurate and relevant information and is effectively used by both the Wellbeing and Injury Management Safety and HR teams
- Contribute to the coordination and compiling of safety reporting and presentations including board reports quarterly strategy tracking and retail leadership meetings in collaboration with the Wellbeing & Injury Manager and Group GM Health Safety & Wellbeing
- Effectively facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members ensuring lost time claim durations and claim costs are minimized
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders such as Insurers and OR Providers to ensure claims management strategies are implemented the timely delivery of exceptional customer service and costeffective outcomes
- Manage and deliver ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications :
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant Allied Health such as Occupational Therapy Physiotherapy Psychologist
- Relevant professional association membership and/or registration
- 3 years rehabilitation experience (clinical and nonclinical) and 2 years in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry
- Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation nationally with demonstrated cost and claim reductions through implementation of injury prevention programs
