We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Acoustic Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Tempe AZ. This role is focused on the design development and validation of highperformance loudspeakers for both aftermarket and OEM automotive applications. You'll collaborate with crossfunctional teams and global suppliers to bring innovative audio products from concept to production.

Lead the design of loudspeaker transducers for a wide range of applications including automotive and aftermarket.
Perform detailed acoustic and loudspeaker simulations using industrystandard software tools.
Plan and execute reliability testing across thermal mechanical and acoustic domains.
Analyze and deconstruct speakers enclosures and related systems to determine failure modes and potential improvements.
Evaluate acoustic performance test data and recommend refinements to enhance reliability and performance.
Organize and participate in listening tests and benchmarking exercises.
Work with domestic and international suppliers to communicate design details troubleshoot issues and support production builds.
Design and tune crossovers to optimize system performance.
Collaborate with mechanical amplifier embedded systems and vehicle integration teams to support crossdepartmental development.
Communicate with clients and OEMs to gather user input and define loudspeaker performance goals.
Develop and deliver detailed technical presentations to communicate design intent and decisions to stakeholders suppliers and internal teams (product development marketing sales).
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Mechanical Engineering (BSME) Acoustics Physics or a related field.
Deep understanding of acoustics and transducer design fundamentals.
Handson experience in designing and engineering loudspeakers and transducers.
Familiarity with speaker materials component behavior and manufacturing processes.
Understanding of audio system architecture and tuning techniques.
Experience using acoustic testing equipment like Klippel and Audio Precision.
Proficient with simulation software such as Klippel SIM2 Loudsoft Suite (Fine Cone Fine Motor Fine Xover Fine Suspension Fine Box) and FEMM (Finite Element Magnetic Modeling).
Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and positive attitude.
Clear and effective technical communication skills both verbal and written.
Selfdirected with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fastpaced deadlinedriven setting.
1–3 years of experience in an acoustic designfocused role.
Solid understanding of core physics principles relevant to acoustics.
Exposure to electrical circuit design and schematic tools like Altium.
Basic familiarity with amplifier design and DSP fundamentals.
Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD tools.
Ability to automate or script tasks using Python LabVIEW Excel macros etc.
Background in speaker enclosure design and handson fabrication.
Genuine interest in and understanding of the automotive audio market.
Experience with highvolume consumer electronics or automotive OEM production environments.
Motorcycle license is a plus.
