Job Description

Role: WiFi Engineer
Location: San Francisco CA Santa Clara CA
Interview: Phone/Video
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

  • Design develop and execute test plans for WiFi routers extenders and mesh networking solutions
  • Perform WiFi range throughput reliability and roaming performance tests using protocols like 802.11k and 802.11v
  • Analyze WiFi extenders for coverage latency and backhaul optimization
  • Utilize tools like Wireshark and iperf for network performance analysis
  • Stay updated with WiFi6/6E/7 advancements and integrate best practices into test strategies

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in 802.11 WiFi standards RF fundamentals and wireless security protocols
  • Experience with WiFi routers extenders mesh solutions and band steering
  • Skilled in roaming protocols 802.11 KVR) and AP/Extender configuration
  • Proficiency in Python shell scripting and WiFi test tools like Veri Wave IXIA Chariot Alethea and Wireshark
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP DHCP and RADIUS networking protocols
