Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare tea coffee and espressobased drinks
- Be knowledgeable of the ingredients in pastries sandwiches salads and other housemade items for sale.
- Take customer orders prepare and heat food and beverages as required and provide help concerning the retail section of the Caf as requested.
- Operate cash register and know procedures for accepting all types of payment.
- Ensure the Caf and retail area is always clean organized and fully stocked with food and retail items.
Physical Demands
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 11 pounds / 5 kg
- Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 22 pounds / 10 kg
- Requires operation of an espresso machine small kitchen appliances and use of sharp knives
- Occasional bending kneeling or crouching
Qualifications :
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Alberta ProServe certification
- Previous customer service experience required
- Barista experience is an asset
- Customerservice oriented
- Advanced English communication skills
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
