Job Description

Job Description:
The QC Coordinator I is responsible for receiving verifying documenting distributing and archiving QC test samples. Sample receipt and testing completions are tracked by the QC Coordinator to report status updates daily. The QC Coordinator also distributes and maintains the integrity and accuracy of QC sample inventories for incoming samples. Other duties could include administrative functions such as filing archiving QC data and consumable monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving verifying labeling distribution to test labs documenting and archiving QC test samples.
  • Manage all paperwork that accompanies each sample and verifies quantities and items received for correctness.
  • Maintenance and report out of daily metrics.
  • Verifies and distributes QC samples to each functional QC group.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of QC sample inventories.
  • Requisition new samples references and consumables managing receipt and distribution.
  • Communicate with QC and MFG teams within Operations via email and phone or in person to track material movements.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Follow Quality ISO and Environmental Health & Safety requirements.
  • Notify supervisor and Safety Officer(s) of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
  • Keep abreast of the basic requirements for safety compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in lab or QC environment is required.
  • College coursework in biology or the life sciences is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year in a manufacturing laboratory or inventory control environment is required.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills preferred: MS Windows word processing Excel experience with database and information management systems.
  • Knowledge of general laboratory safety familiar with GMP preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow established policies/procedures and ability to keep neat accurate and complete records and logs.
  • Effective analytical and problemsolving skills.
