Kindergarten Teacher (American Curriculum)

About A Takamul International School (ATIS):

Established in 1993 ATakamul International School (ATIS) is a leading American curriculum school in Kuwait currently serving over 3500 students with more than 320 teaching staff. ATIS is fully accredited by COGNIA AIAA and AdvancED and operates under the Ministry of Private Education.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Kindergarten Teacher to join our Early Childhood Department. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic nurturing and wellversed in the American curriculum approach to early learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the American curriculum.

  • Create a warm inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Promote the physical emotional cognitive and social growth of young learners.

  • Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school leadership.

  • Participate in schoolwide activities professional development and collaborative planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required).

  • Masters Degree in Education (preferred).

  • 35 years of teaching experience in American curriculum schools.

  • Training and experience in the American Education System (essential).

  • Excellent command of English reading writing and speaking (essential).

  • Recognised teaching certification or licensure (preferred).

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: Generous and negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

  • Accommodation:

    • Free fully furnished single accommodation with utilities included or

    • Housing allowance of KWD 150/month.

    • Teachers with families may access a 2bedroom apartment for KWD 90/month.

    • Facilities include a gym and swimming pool.

  • Transportation:

    • Free twoway school transport for the first 3 months.

    • Optional continued service for KWD 20/month thereafter.

  • Airfare:

    • Initial joining ticket from home country.

    • Annual summer return ticket.

    • Return ticket at the end of the contract.

  • Medical Insurance:

    • Government health insurance for the first two years.

    • Private health insurance from the third year onward.

  • Tuition Discount:

    • 100 discount on school tuition fees for up to two children (subject to management approval).

  • Visa Support:

    • Reimbursement of up to KWD 100 for visa expenses in home country (with receipts).

Working Conditions:

  • Contract Length: Two years renewable by mutual agreement.

  • Working Days: Approximately 177 teaching days per academic year.

  • Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday 7:10 AM to 2:40 PM.
