Tasks
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daytoday lab activities also ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with medical and technical staff to ensure smooth sample processing accurate testing and timely result reporting.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and reagents to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
- Support quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain accurate and reliable test results.
- Participate in proficiency testing and quality improvement initiatives addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines accreditation requirements and safety protocols.
- Assist in preparing for inspections and audits by regulatory bodies addressing any findings as necessary.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to laboratory staff promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth.
- Help with training new staff members ensuring they understand lab protocols and safety measures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and organized records of test results patient information and other relevant data.
- Identify areas for process optimization and operational efficiency and propose and implement solutions.
- Contribute to emergency response protocols and procedures to ensure the labs readiness to handle unexpected situations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science Biomedical Science or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory setting with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Detailoriented and capable of maintaining accuracy in a highvolume fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in laboratory settings.
