Job Description

As the Regulatory Senior Test Engineer with a strong background in RF/EMC testing you will work within the RF/ EMC department performing compliance testing and certifications.

  • Competently setup and perform EMC and RF tests including operation of test equipment calibration in accordance with Regulatory Standards and requirements
  • Conduct commercial emissions and immunity testing per the applicable requirements
  • Provide technical leadership for the lab
  • Experience  and knowledge in setting up a Radiated chamber System for PTCRB RSE testing
  • Check technical records perform data analysis and review laboratory reports.
  • Create client deliverables in the form of test reports letter reports and certification reports
  • Routine operation maintenance maintain calibration qualification and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Lead the development writing review and validation of test methods laboratory SOPs and other departmentlevel operating and quality documents
  • Lead investigation of response to and followup of client inquiries and complaints
  • Coordinate with laboratory engineers technicians and/or assistants on sample receiving logging pretreatment preparation testing and other tasks
  • Conduct multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with sales teams account managers and interface with clients.
  • Train and mentor others
  • Implement globally harmonized methods from other SGS C&P laboratories.
  • Adheres to internal standards policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related STEM discipline
  •  47 years of relevant engineering testing experience
  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
  • Expert and handson knowledge of ANSI C63.10; ANSI C63.26; EN 300 328; EN 301 893; ETSI EN; EN/IEC
  • Expert and demonstrable knowledge using test equipment such as EMI Receivers Spectrum Analyzers Anechoic Chambers Antennas etc.
  • Knowledge of compliance testing of products including but not limited to 2G/3G/4G/5G WiFi Bluetooth radios
  • Direct/Handson regulatory compliance experience is mandatory
  • Knowledge of EMC regulations techniques laws and accreditation standards for North America Europe etc. is required
  • High level of written and verbal English
  • Able to travel an average of 5 including travel outside the US
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills good team spirit and adaptability
  • Foster interdepartmental teamwork and be able to work across multiple cultures
  • Work independently and with limited supervision
  • Ability to maintain a serviceoriented mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
