Job Description
Job Title: Flooring Estimator
Location: Remote
Salary Range: $1300 $1500/month
Employment Type: Fulltime Independent Contractor
About the Company
A wellestablished flooring company that operates as part of a larger lumber yard business is seeking a dedicated Flooring Estimator to support their expanding commercial and residential projects. The company has a team of six employees and utilizes subcontractors for installations.
Role Overview
The Flooring Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for flooring projects including material takeoffs and labor calculations. The role requires a strong understanding of construction and flooring materials as well as proficiency in estimation software.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze project specifications blueprints and proposals to prepare cost estimates.

Calculate material quantities labor costs and project timelines.

Collaborate with sales and project management teams to ensure accurate estimates.

Assist in preparing bid proposals for commercial and residential projects.

Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information.

Ensure all estimates align with company pricing strategies and profit margins.

Provide budgetary estimates quickly for sales team inquiries.
Requirements

Experience in construction estimating specifically flooring projects.

Strong knowledge of flooring materials installation methods and project components.

Familiarity with estimation software (experience with RFMS is a plus).

Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Detailoriented with strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a remote team.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
