Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the planning design of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Meet with decision makers system owners and end users to define business requirements and system goals and identify and resolve business system issues.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of inhouse and 3rd party computing systems.
- Review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on hardware and software products to support purchasing decisions and justify recommendations.
- Create system models specifications diagrams and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
- Coordinate and conduct indepth tests including enduser reviews for modified and new systems.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
- Ongoing system support to business
- Handling of financial reconciliations and enquiries
- Root cause analysis and reporting
REQUIREMENTS
- Batchelors degree/National Diploma/BTech in computer science information science management information systems
- 5 years experience working in a similar tole
- Experience in overseeing the design and implementation of software and hardware solutions systems or products.
- Extensive experience with core software applications including NAV & BC.
- Understanding of basic Accounting principles
- Analytical and creative problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and userfriendly language.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a highpressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a teamoriented collaborative environment
- Be willing to relocate to the Free State at own expense
