Job Summary:
The Head of Travel & Hospitality is responsible for overseeing all aspects of international and domestic travel including airfare accommodations ground transportation and travel documentation. This role ensures costeffective travel management while providing a premium experience for employees and stakeholders. The individual is expected to develop and implement travel policies and procedures aligned with company goals and budgets while ensuring compliance with company policies and government guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Management 50
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on travelrelated matters including cost management travel trends and process improvements.
- Offer support to employees on visa requirements travel safety and cultural norms.
- Address escalated travelrelated issues complaints or emergencies and provide timely resolution.
- Collaborate with departments such as Commercial HR and Finance to align travel arrangements with business needs.
- Lead and manage the travel desk team ensuring training coaching and mentoring as needed.
2. Vendor Management 30
- Oversee the selection engagement and management of travel agencies vendors and service providers to ensure competitive pricing and quality services.
- Maintain and update travelrelated databases and systems for accurate reporting.
- Lead negotiations and manage contracts with airlines hotels car rental companies and other travel service providers.
- Monitor and analyze travel expenses providing insights for cost management.
- Generate reports and insights on travel trends and expenditures for senior management.
3. Policy Development 10
- Develop and implement travel policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives and budgets.
- Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices.
4. People Management 10
- Provide leadership mentorship and coaching to the travel and hospitality team.
- Foster a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferably MBA or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing largescale international and domestic travel operations.
- Experience in the travel sector is a plus.
