What youd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.
At the moment this role is focused on:
Driving innovation in Business Intelligence: lead the technical development of nextgen BI tools to make data insights universally accessible
Enhancing data and insight discoverability tools to help teams find reliable information with ease
Collaborating across crossfunctional teams to deliver impactful projects with engineering leadership
Championing engineering excellence: building platforms with a focus on performance scalability and reliability
Spearheading CI/CD improvement efforts to streamline deployment of analytics tools
Exploring advanced analytics and AI initiatives like chatbots or AIpowered search to position Canva at the forefront of data enablement
Building tools that transform how Canvanauts interact with and discover data
Youre probably a match if:
You bring a strong background in building scalable platforms and solving complex software challenges
Youre fluent in Python SQL and JavaScript and have deep handson experience with Kubernetes Terraform and AWS
Youre passionate about CI/CD SRE principles and exploring emerging AI/ML opportunities
You lead with an ownership mindset and thrive in collaborative fastmoving environments
You communicate with clarity and influence and youre eager to empower over 3000 Canvanauts to unlock the value of data
Youre energised by innovation and excited to shape the future of Canvas BI and analytics landscape
About the team
Our Analytics Platform team empowers every Canvanaut with efficient reliable selfservice tools to generate discover and manage analytical insights. Supporting over 3000 Canvanauts we continuously improve the discoverability of data and insights business intelligence tools and advanced analytics capabilities. We fuel datadriven decisions across Canva unlocking the full potential of data democratization and amplifying impact at every level.
